Description
AlloDerm SELECT™ 2x4 Med (1.6 ± 0.4 mm) is a human-derived acellular dermal matrix (ADM) developed for use in soft tissue surgical procedures requiring tissue reinforcement or regeneration. This sterile, room temperature–storable graft is processed from donated human skin to retain the extracellular matrix while removing cellular components, minimizing immunogenicity.
With a medium thickness profile, it provides structural support suitable for periodontal and oral soft tissue applications. Clinical use has demonstrated favorable outcomes in terms of postoperative comfort, with reported reductions in bleeding and swelling. At six months, results indicate no clinically distinguishable differences between AlloDerm SELECT™ and autologous connective tissue grafts in terms of gingival recession coverage, attachment gain, and probing depth reduction.
The graft is supplied in a 2 cm x 4 cm sheet and must be rehydrated in sterile saline or lactated Ringer’s solution for at least two minutes prior to implantation. The dermal side should be placed against the recipient’s vascular tissue for optimal integration.
